Loose pony tails are great for brides with thick hair, wavy hair, or curly hair. Adding a decorative comb or clip to the hair style and you're ready to walk down the aisle in no time! I'm all for quick, easy, and low stress on my big day.

When you think about the bridal hair styles, you must also consider the style of your dress. Some dresses require that your hair is up, while some will look just great with loose hair. So, look at your wedding dress. Is it with an oval and generous neck line? This will look great with some bridal hair styles that will keep your hair up and possibly some loose curls that will surround your face. In case the neck line of the dress is simple, this will go just fine with loose hair. Loose hair can be arranged in different styles: you can curl it up or add some flowers in it, straighten it or die a few locks in another color. ~ Reflections on 2009 ~

This is the time when I reflect on all that has happened good and bad this past year on the eve of a new year. Being the eternal optimist, I anticipate the coming of 2010 hoping it will herald positive changes on many fronts.

2009 was a very challenging year not only for me, but for many others I suspect. The continuing economic recession did not paint a pretty picture for me and many other full-time artists. As professional artists we create our art to make a living and survive. I was blessed and lucky that most of my art this year sold and went to good homes. I'm hopeful that 2010 will show signs of improvement on the economic front.

I was able to keep most of my 2009 new year resolutions as well. I took more chances with my art and tried different techniques. I started a sensible exercise routine that I could live with and lost 25 lbs. Being more active has given me a renewed sense of well being and balance in my life. I've also learned to say no and take more time for myself.

There were health challenges for my closest family members that was also a wake-up call to try to live a more healthful lifestyle.

I would be remiss to not mention again how heartbreaking it was for me with Michael Jackson's untimely passing. Michael's creative legacy has had a huge impact on my life and my art. I miss him dearly and suspect I always will. I'm hoping that after all the love and positive things he gave this world, he's finally at peace. One person can only endure so much pain for so long.

I'm thankful for my health, family, friends, and collectors of my art. It helps to have such a great support network. ~ THANK YOU!

~ A Christmas Memory ~

"A Christmas Memory" is a short story by Truman Capote. Originally published in Mademoiselle magazine in December 1956, it was reprinted in The Selected Writings of Truman Capote in 1963. It was issued in a stand-alone hardcover edition by Random House in 1966, and it has been published in many editions and anthologies since.

The largely autobiographical story, which takes place in the 1930s, describes the lives of seven-year-old Buddy and his elderly cousin Sook, who is Buddy's best friend. The evocative narrative focuses on country life, friendship, and the joy of giving during the Christmas season, and it also gently yet poignantly touches on loneliness and loss.

Now a holiday classic, "A Christmas Memory" has been broadcast, recorded, filmed, and staged multiple times, in award-winning productions.

This has to be my all time favorite Christmas film. An obscure gem that is hard to locate on video. A MUST SEE ~ This defines the true meaning of Christmas for me.

~ Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas ~

In 1977, Muppet creator Jim Henson produced a one-hour television adaptation of the story for HBO. The special later aired on ABC in 1980 and on Nickelodeon in the 1990s.

The original special was hosted by Kermit the Frog; however, later releases edited out the frog's narration due to legal issues. While The Jim Henson Company retained ownership of Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, the company sold the rights to the Muppets (including Kermit) to the Walt Disney Company in 2004.

This was one of my favorite Christmas specials as a child. HBO used to play it every Christmas season in the early 1980's. I still adore it as an adult and now have it on DVD.

curly-hairstyle

A medium length haircut is considered from just below the jawline to several inches just past the collar bone. A medium length hairstyle is perfect for those who prefer length but do not care for the maintenance of long hair.A medium hairstyle can still be feminine, flirty and sophisticated, especially when you add layers. When adding layers to any length of hair always have your stylist help tailor the layers to best suit your features. In order to keep a layered medium hairstyle looking its best you’ll want to get a trim every 8 weeks or sooner. This will help prevent a shaggy look as the layers grow out.

One great thing about medium layered hairstyles is their versatility. whether you wear straight, wavy or curled its an entire different look each way

curly hairstyles

Long, curly hairstyles are one of the sexiest looks a woman can have. Curly hair is the most common hair type! About 60 percent of the world's population has varying degrees of this hair type.

Curly hair is usually dry so it requires shampoos and conditioners that contain moisturizers. It is also prone to damage and frizziness, feels coarse and brittle. Curly hair has poor porosity
