A little bit Dr. Frankenfurter, Robert Smith, Adam Lambert, and glam 80's hair band rocker. The decision has been made...I think! ~ LOL '-)

CK's 2010 Halloween Decorations

Hi Folks,

Wanted to share some pictures of this year's Halloween decorations. Those that have followed me the past several years know that I do my display yearly for the month of October. I usually start at the end of September putting my stuff out, but my trip to Florida the beginning of October set me a bit behind. I strategically keep adding items daily until the display is complete by Halloween night. The neighborhood kids love checking out our house daily to see what new goodies I've put out. My familiar cast of characters and ghouls are all handmade by me. I've switched over to 95% LED lighting outside to be greener and reduce our energy consumption. I will have nighttime pictures of the outdoor lighting display taken on Halloween night. So enjoy and I will post more pictures the day after Halloween of the completed display!

New for 2010 is a witch kite with moving bicycle wheels.

~ Disney Magic Kingdom & Epcot ~

Too bad my eyes were closed...

The second portion of our trip in Florida had us spending two days at Disney World. The first day we went to Magic Kingdom which was very busy due to it being a holiday (Columbus Day). The whole park was Halloween'ed up with orange banners & Mickey Mouse pumpkins everywhere. Of course the first attraction we hit was Space Mountain which is always a blast. I did not realize they did a major renovation of Space Mountain in 2009 and added an additional track. The Haunted Mansion was even better than I remembered from my last trip in the late 1980's. Epcot was wonderful as well and I really enjoyed "Captain EO" and "Mission Space."













I had so much fun in Florida I did not want to come back to Maryland. The mid 80 degree blue skies and pool time will be missed. Back to Fall...well at least we have Halloween to look forward to soon!
