April 3, 2012: Bank of the South is Born

REPÚBLICA BOLIVARIANA DE VENEZUELA

MINISTERIO DEL PODER POPULAR

PARA RELACIONES EXTERIORES

Comunicado

WikiLeaks and Anonymous Score a Big Hit Against a U.S. Private Inteligence-Gathering Company

The whistle-blower organization WikiLeaks has scored an impressive big hit against the internal computer files of a private U.S. company that goes by the name Stratfor, which is short for Strategic Forces. It is not known if this private organization is a front for the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, as the U.S. government moves to privatize just about everything, to ensure huge profits for capitalist companies. The question that we can ask ourselves is "Is the U.S. on the road to corporate Fascism?"

Fox News is reporting the following:

It cites a Dec. 6, 2011, email from CEO George Friedman to Stratfor analyst Reva Bhalla, on how to exploit an Israeli intelligence informant providing information on the medical condition of Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez.

"[Y]ou have to take control of him. Control means financial, sexual or psychological control ... This is intended to start our conversation on your next phase," the email reportedly reads.

Ahmadinejad Arives in Caracas; Barack Obama Issues New Threats Against Latin American Nations

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was welcomed with military honors upon his arrival at Maiquetia Airport in Caracas on January 8, 2012.

Mon Jan 9, 2012 2:2AM GMT

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has arrived in the Venezuelan capital Caracas on the first leg of his tour of several Latin American countries.

President Ahmadinejad was welcomed by Venezuelan Vice President Elias Jaua upon his arrival at Maiquetia Airport in Caracas on January 8.

Ahmadinejad is scheduled to meet with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and other senior Venezuelan officials. He will also sign several contracts and inaugurate a number of projects.

Earlier on Sunday, Chavez said he hoped the Iranian president would "rest a bit tonight and then tomorrow we will work all day reviewing cooperation agreements."

Ahmadinejad's stay in Venezuela will be followed with a trip to Nicaragua to attend the inauguration of its recently re-elected leader Daniel Ortega.

During his five-day trip, President Ahmadinejad will also visit Cuba and Ecuador and hold talks with senior officials of both countries on the further expansion of bilateral relations.

The US warned Latin American states on Friday against further expansion of diplomatic and business ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran, expressing concerns over “Iran's outreach to the Western Hemisphere.”

“We are making absolutely clear to countries around the world that now is not the time to be deepening ties, not security ties, not economic ties, with Iran,” US State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said.

Leaders in all the four Latin American countries have in recent years built up diplomatic and trade ties with Iran, while their relations with the United States have been greatly reduced amid popular demands for an end to dependence on Washington.

Cuba defeats Venezuela 5-4, but has to sweat it out at the end.

Photo: Cubadebate

This was a tough and ugly game for the criollos, but at the end they prevailed 5-4.

Cuba scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the first inning, and would add another three runs on their sixth inning. The score Cuba 4, Venezuela 0. The criollos probably thought that it was going to be an easy game.

Then came the unlucky seventh inning for Cuba. They committed a monumental error. Their opponents took advantage of it (the Cuban defenses faltered and its relief pitching collapsed), and mounted a four run rally. Tied game. Cuba 4, Venezuela 4.

Alberto Soto pitched one good inning of relief on the eighth and on the ninth Cuba brought in their ace reliever, Yadier Pedroso. He allowed one hit and gave one free pass.

The Cubans were able to hold the Venezuelans and win the game.

Cuba will play Canada tonight at 19:00.

Libya: A new government installed by Western imperialists

I will not defend Moammar Qaddafi. That has to be done by the Libyan people themselves. But I suspect that what the Western imperialists are really concerned and crave are the big oil deposits of Libya.

NATO has become a gang of thugs doing the dirty work of the United States, Great Britain and France.

George W. Bush lied when he said that he went to Iraq looking for weapons of mass destruction. The U.S. now owns Iraq's oil. And the gullible crowd believed him.

Barack H. Obama lies when he says that his NATO friends went to Libya to "protect" civilians. It's the oil stupid!

Yankees are only concerned about one thing: MONEY!

Venezuela should be very alert and build up its defenses. Do not trust the pronouncements of Barack H. Obama, a person who is not worthy of trust. The U.S. is desperate for oil!
