This photo brought back many memories. 23 y 12 was one of my favorite corners, before I left Cuba. My parents sent me out of the island. I was one of the many victims of Operation Peter Pan.
I was 17 years old on that sad day, November 18, 1961. I did not know anything about politics, but I hated the esbirros of Fulgencio Batista. His policeman used to go to the bodega of 21 y 24, and buy whatever they wanted, and never paid a penny for it. QUE LADRONES.
I will visit that corner again before I die.
