According to the latest statistics provided by the Federacion Cubana de Beisbol Aficionado, Alfredo Despaigne has 31 home runs in Cuba's 51st National Baseball Series. He has completed 73 games with 17 more games to go. I read at a website that this year they will have 96 games, but I have no confirmation for that.
The current record is 33 and is jointly held by Yoenis Cespedes, who is playing now for the Oakland A's in Major League Baseball in the United States, and José Dariel Abreu of the green elephants of Team Cienfuegos.
