Is Adele's Mansion Haunted ?

Adele, 23, recently moved into a £7 million home in Sussex, England, but now is afraid to sleep there alone because she believes it's haunted, according to British tabloid "The Sun".

Adele allegedly revealed to a friend that the house "gives me the creeps" after she heard a few things going bump in the night, and has even moved her female bodyguard into the 10-bedroom mansion for protection at a reported annual rate of £100,000.

Adele also hired two additional security personnel to guard the 25-acre property, which used to be a convent and has a private chapel as well as two swimming pools according to "The Sun".

"Adele was so excited to be renting such a lavish property but it has not turned out as happily as it should have," a friend of the singer's stated to "The Sun". "She is convinced it is haunted. She knows about its religious history  and it's a big place to be in on your own in the dead of night."

A rep for the singer had no comment. Last month, while giving Anderson Cooper a tour of the home for a 60 Minutes segment, Adele reportedly quipped about a dark hallway: "This bit is quite scary. ... Have you ever heard of "The Shining"?"

Well, if Adele is so scared why didn't she sell the mansion and live in another home? Talking about how creepy is her house won't make the boogie man go away...
